You can create your menu in bulk using the “Import from CSV” option in the “Menu” tab. But note that you must do other item options manually once you finish importing your menu data.
“Import from CSV” can only import:
Item Name.
Description of the item.
Price.
Category.
Image (Image by link only).
It is an easy way to upload your menu data. It requires precise preparation. It is done by filling out a CSV sheet with the menu info and uploading it to the software. Here are the steps:
Microsoft Excel CSV template:
Download the sheet from here.
Fill out the sheet.
Column A: Name of the item.
Column B: Description of the item.
Column C: Price of the item. IMPORTANT! Do not enter a currency symbol in the “price” column.
Column D: Category of the item. (e.g. Salads, Main Course, Desserts, etc.)
Column E: Image URL of the item. Do not put any image or image URL. Enter “NA”; later, you can upload the images manually.
“Save” the file as “CSV”.
Go to your dashboard in the software and go to the “Menu” tab.
Click “Import to CSV”
Click here to get the file.
You will be transferred to a page to make a copy of the file.
After you’ve made a copy, start filling out the sheet.
There are many ways to get an image URL, but here is one way how to get the image URL using Google Drive:
Go to your Google Drive.
Create a folder and name it accordingly.
Upload all of your images.
Copy the link of each image and paste it on this website. This website makes your URL readable by our software.
Copy and paste the new URL into the Sheet.
Download the sheet as “CSV”.
Go to your dashboard in the software and go to the “Menu” tab.
Click “Import to CSV”.
You must fill out every column. If you don’t enter anything in one of the columns, enter instead “NA”; otherwise, the software will show a failure.
After uploading the CSV file, return to the “Item Management” subsection of the “Adding Items in Category” section to continue editing your menu.
That’s it! You’ve successfully created a menu. Now, continue to the other sections to complete the restaurant configuration and share your online menu.
